Our Story

Why We Do It This Way

We're a concrete contractor working driveways, patios, walkways and slabs across Los Angeles and the nearby valleys. Most of us got into this trade because we like work you can see finished in a week that still looks right in twenty years, and concrete rewards that kind of patience.

If you're on this page, chances are you've got a slab that's cracked, sunk, or never drained right in the first place, and you want it fixed by someone who won't just patch over the reason it failed. We dig down to find out why it moved, bad base compaction, a tree root, water running the wrong direction, and fix that before we even think about finish work. A slab poured on a bad base will crack again no matter how nice the surface looks.

Why Choose Us

What you get when you hire us

None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.

Licensed & Insured

Being licensed and insured on concrete work covers things like equipment damage or an injury on site, and proof is available before any contract gets signed.

Permits Handled

Permit rules for driveways and slabs differ by city around Los Angeles, and we deal with the paperwork so an inspector isn't showing up to a problem later.

Clean Job Sites

A concrete pour leaves behind forms, offcuts and washout water, and none of it gets left for you to deal with once we're gone.

Written Quotes

The quote spells out thickness, finish and reinforcement type, so there's no guessing what you're paying for once the mixer truck shows up.

On-Time Scheduling

Concrete scheduling depends on the mixer truck and the weather, and we build in enough slack that a delay on one end doesn't push your whole job back a week.

Local to LA

Working across Los Angeles neighborhoods means knowing which areas have expansive clay soil and which slabs need extra joint spacing because of it.

Common Questions

Things people ask us

Questions about us specifically, not just the concrete.

How long have you been pouring concrete in the Los Angeles area?
Concrete work has been done throughout the Los Angeles area covering everything from small residential repairs to full driveway and patio replacements. Experience with local soil conditions and city permit requirements comes from working across many different neighborhoods, not just one type of job.
Do you use your own crew or subcontract the work out?
Concrete work is handled by an in-house crew rather than being subcontracted out, which keeps the same people responsible for a job from the initial pour through the final finish. That matters on concrete specifically because timing between steps, forming, pouring, finishing, joint cutting, has to be coordinated closely.
Can I see photos of concrete work you've done before?
Photos of past driveways, patios, and repair work are available on request and often shown during the in-person estimate. Seeing finished examples of a specific finish, like stamped concrete or exposed aggregate, helps set expectations before a job starts.
Why hire a smaller concrete contractor instead of a big company?
A smaller concrete contractor typically means the person quoting the job is also the person overseeing it, rather than a sales rep handing the project off to a crew that's never met the homeowner. It also usually means more flexibility on scheduling and on how a job is scoped for a specific budget.
Where is Precision Concrete Co based?
Precision Concrete Co is based in Los Angeles, CA, and works throughout the surrounding cities and towns within roughly a 50 mile radius. Being local means faster response for estimates and follow-up visits after the work is done.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Booking lead time depends on the season, spring and fall fill up faster since rain is less likely to interfere with a pour during those months. A small repair can sometimes be scheduled within a week or two, while a full driveway or patio job may need more advance notice.
Will you clean up the site after the job is done?
Cleanup after a concrete job includes removing forms, leftover material, and any debris from demolition, so the site is left usable, not just poured and abandoned. Washout water from mixer trucks and tools is also handled properly rather than left to run into a storm drain.
What happens if something gets damaged on my property during the work?
Any damage caused during a concrete job is covered under insurance and addressed directly rather than left for the homeowner to deal with. This is part of why working with a licensed and insured concrete contractor matters, especially on jobs involving excavation near underground lines.
Will you finish a concrete job that another contractor started or messed up?
Taking over a concrete job that another contractor started or got wrong is common, though it usually starts with an assessment of what's already there since some work may need to be removed if the base or forming was done incorrectly. Patching over bad prep work just to save time isn't a real fix and won't hold up under a driveway or patio's full weight.
How can I tell if concrete work is being done correctly while it's in progress?
Correct concrete work shows in a few visible steps: the base should be compacted and level before forms go in, rebar or mesh should be visible before the pour, and control joints should be cut within hours of finishing, not days later. Asking the crew on-site what PSI mix is being used and when joints will be cut is a fair question at any point during the job.
